The METAL program aims to transform the U.S. metal manufacturing workforce in the casting and forging industry by developing a set of stackable curriculums from K to gray through a national training network.

SkillCrafters is a “Shark Tank” style program to engage and challenge middle and high school students to brainstorm real products using composite materials that can solve challenges they encounter in their daily lives.

Internships

Through the IACMI Internship Program, more than 100 students have participated in hands-on research experiences with assigned mentors at more than 40 IACMI partner and member organizations. Former internships have included up to 400 hours of participation either in a 10-week appointment or a year-long appointment. Our interns are helping grow the future of the workforce and the composites industry.

Immersive Training Workshops

Immersive training workshops offer hands-on training with advanced technologies. They are hosted throughout the US, both at IACMI facilities and through partnerships with organizations including Abaris Training, SAMPE, Composites One, and ACMA.

Manufacturing Day

IACMI engages communities across the United States to recognize employment opportunities in composites manufacturing, highlight the involvement of composites-related organizations in their community, and promote training of a future workforce that is excited about and driven to join the composites industry. By participating in Manufacturing Day, an internationally recognized event organized by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), IACMI celebrates workforce development opportunities in the composites industry.
