As the wind industry continues to gain momentum, companies are eager to get ahead of the hiring curve for engineers and service technicians.
Climbing upwards of 300 feet in the air, wind turbine technicians must brave extreme heights in unpredictable conditions . According to Bloomberg, Andy Holt, GM Global Wind Projects & Services at GE Renewable Energy, referred to these workers as “industrial athletes”, claiming they are hard to find. Students are being recruited often before receiving a degree, as companies compete to fuel this growing industry.
