The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Society of Women Engineers is hosting Tomorrow’s Engineers Today – an event to welcome more than 100 middle and high school female students from the Knoxville area to UTK’s campus to learn about the possibilities for women in STEM, and to participate in hands-on STEM activities. This event will be held on Saturday, March 3 from 9AM – 3PM, and is supported by IACMI, who hosts several UTK interns who participate in leadership positions at the Society for Women Engineers (SWE).
Spend the day at University of Tennessee with UTK’s Society of Women Engineers (SWE) during the event, Tomorrow’s Engineers Today. SWE will show middle and high school girls how to apply classroom knowledge to the real world and have fun while doing it. Female students will have a chance to participate in engineering experiments, tour the UTK campus, and talk with current engineering professors and college students. Parents of the students are also invited for a half-day event to learn about engineering from industry professionals, to learn about college life, and to gather information about helping their daughters succeed.
