In a recent study prepared by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and Deloitte, it is predicted that less than half of U.S. manufacturing jobs will be filled across the next ten years. Yet, manufacturers in Greenville, South Carolina, are pushing to meet the needs of the advanced manufacturing sector to develop a skilled workforce alongside the industry growth and innovation, including 3D printing, automated systems, and robotics.

In Greenville specifically, IACMI – The Composites Institute, in partnership with Composites One and the Closed Mold Alliance, is hosting the “Road to Innovation: Advancing Manufacturing Through Product, Process, and Design” workshop at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) this August 7, 2019. IACMI is dedicated to closing the gap between the needs of advanced manufacturing innovation and workforce development through its collaborative network.
