MVP Reimagines Additive Manufacturing with Reactive Polymer Systems

Magnum Venus Products President and CEO Bob Vanderhoff describes the new Reactive Additive Manufacturing 3D printer Sept. 17, 2019.In partnership with Polynt and the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), IACMI-Member Magnum Venus Products (MVP) revealed the first large-scale reactive polymer additive manufacturing system available to the commercial industry. MVP’s Reactive Additive Manufacturing (RAM) machine, along with Polynt’s Reactive Additive Deposition (PRD1520) material, the world’s very first large-scale 3D printer that enables the fabrication of thermoset materials.

MVP and Polynt hosted a tour at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) at ORNL to demonstrate the RAM capabilities made possible through collaboration. On September 17, industry experts participated in live demonstrations and discussions with the development team of the RAM machine and PRD1520 material.
