IACMI workforce initiatives, team grows in scope and diversity

As a proven leader in workforce development, IACMI has built a stellar reputation for its education, training, internship, and workshop experiences in the advanced composites and manufacturing industries. As IACMI looks toward its future in the advanced manufacturing space, its workforce development initiatives have grown in scope and diversity.

We’re happy to introduce three new staff members, all whose focus is to primarily expand and market IACMI-led workforce initiatives relevant to our members, the composites community, and the U.S. advanced manufacturing supply chain.

Lucinda Curry, National Workforce Manager

Lucinda Curry, National Workforce Manager
Responsible for expanding America’s Cutting Edge (ACE) machine tool training for composites and metals across the U.S., Lucinda comes to IACMI from the Robert C. Byrd Institute in Charleston, West Virginia, where she was director of workforce development and director of Apprenticeship Works.

Kim Harris, Regional Workforce Manager

Kim Harris, Regional Workforce Manager
Kim will be responsible for planning and executing regional IACMI workforce training programs, including integration of area companies and industry partners. Kim formerly served as director of workforce training and placement at Roane State Community College in Tennessee.

Margaret Slattery, Marketing Communications Specialist

Margaret Slattery, Marketing Communications Specialist
Responsible for marketing IACMI workforce initiatives, Margaret will be telling the story of how IACMI is driving value for our members through expanding multiple workforce programs across the U.S. Margaret formerly worked as a writer and producer for HGTV, TLC, and Discovery Channel for Discovery Networks in Knoxville.
