IACMI welcomes Adhesives and Sealants Council as a member

Bethesda, MD –The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) has become a Consortium Member at IACMI (Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation) and has held initial meetings with the ASC Growth Task Force and IACMI-The Composites Institute leadership. This new partnership is a result of the strategic growth initiative at ASC.

The purpose of ASC joining IACMI is to foster communication between IACMI and ASC members. Access to IACMI projects and identification of joining challenges will help accelerate adoption of adhesives, and will aid in developing solutions that make end users final products stronger, lighter and more durable. ASC’s role to educate the market of the benefits of adhesives is parallel to IACMI’s overarching mission of accelerating the development and commercial deployment of advanced composites by sharing resources and co-investing in the composites ecosystem. The partnership is part of ASC’s long range plan focused on growth.

Working with IACMI, Industrial Market Insight and a member-driven Growth Program Task Force, ASC will act as an initial information provider that will give the Council an opportunity to make our members aware of the projects, equipment, subject matter experts and overall resources within the IACMI umbrella and its partners including the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility in Knoxville, Tennessee.
