Composites One and the Closed Mold Alliance, along with 20 industry and educational partners, will demo the latest composites processes and share practical tips for working smarter, faster and more efficiently at CAMX 2017 in Orlando, FL, on Sept. 11 to 14.

The Composites One and Closed Mold Alliance Demo Zone is designed to educate manufacturers about processes and technologies that can help them produce better parts more efficiently. Presented at major industry events for more than a decade, the demos have ranged from building a sailboat to making smaller parts nonstop, said a Composites One news release.

This upcoming trade show is predicted to be a huge success and will feature a few freebies for those in attendance, such as Custom Water bottles and other branded merchandise. It is supposed to be an enjoyable as well as informative day out. Manufacturing industry leaders will give leading talks and demonstrations about their products and services, and each exhibitor will be identifiable by a trade show banner adorned with their company name and contact details.

Headquartered in Arlington Heights, IL, Composites One specializes in composite materials and serves customers from more than 37 locations in the United States and Canada. The company offers a variety of value-added services; its technical experts help customers find solutions in advanced composites materials and processes and closed mold technologies, and assist in technical application reviews and regulatory compliance.

“What’s new at this year’s event is the amount of composites knowledge that attendees can receive in a limited amount of time,” said Mary Offner, Director of Marketing Communications for Composites One. “Each demo will be boiled down into a succinct, dynamic watch-and-learn presentation with practical tips and takeaways that attendees can then share with their employees and co-workers.”

Joining the presenters at this year’s event will be representatives from the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing, Davis Technology of Salt Lake City and Daytona State College. Composites One, the Closed Mold Alliance and its industry partners possess more than 70 years of combined composites expertise.

Demos will be repeated on Tuesday and Wednesday at CAMX, giving attendees multiple opportunities to see what interests them. Thursday will be an open house featuring a Q&A with technical teams. Many demos will feature systems from Magnum Venus Products and tooling from RTM North Ltd., a company that Composites One calls the “leading authority on light RTM tooling.”
