Our monthly webinar series “Innovation Insights” continued Tuesday, February 20, as IACMI EVP/CCO Dale Brosius, moderated discussions on recent technology advancements.
On Tuesday, February 20, at 12PM ET, we hosted one-hour series of presentations from IACMI members and partners, where they will provide background on new technology, products, and the key advantages provided, as well as application examples.
We heard from: |
Kyle Huttenlocker Chief Executive Officer and Bryan Wilson President Environmental Living IndustriesEnvironmental Living Industries: US Natural Hemp Fiber The presentation will focus on the natural hemp fiber market, who we are as a company/US Industrial hemp fiber processor, and what that means for the composites industry. We will also discuss fiber availability today and what fiber availability/pricing will look like in the future.
Jeff Hall Carbon Fiber Recycling, LLC – An Overview Carbon Fiber Recycling, LLC’s mission is to recycle 100% of excess and end of life carbon fiber. CFR transforms materials into clean short chopped fiber to be reused in the manufacturing process. Join us and hear how they do it.
Dr. David Jack Composites at Baylor University – From the Micro to the Macro, From the Laboratory to Commercial Implementation Learn about the recent advances from the Scientific Innovations in Complex Engineering Materials (SIC’EM) laboratory of Baylor University. Two specific technical examples will be provided to demonstrate the SIC’EM team’s ability to automate the inspection process through full-waveform capture methods and automate the quantification of the expected part performance. Along those lines, Baylor researchers have developed multiple FAA 8100-9’s demonstrating our inspections comply with airworthiness standards enabling the commercialization path and industrial acceptance. Baylor researchers are looking to expand our impact by partnering with IACMI members to expand the application space of the developed technology to challenges of interest to the members, such as in the area of high rate aerostructures, mobility, and wind energy. Join us February 20, during your lunch break for these engaging presentations. |
