Knoxville Start Up Day

Knoxville Start Up Day, a celebration of Knoxville’s startup and entrepreneurial community, has become one of the biggest events of the year for the region.

The event was held at the beautiful Bijou Theatre on Thursday, November 19, 2015 and featured International Entrepreneur Angel Gambino, CEO, Alchemists Collective, Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero, and Jon Shieber, Senior Editor, TechCrunch.

Knoxville has developed a great reputation for  excellence in many fields, including Media, Medical and Manufacturing.  Key leaders from those industries  spoke to a packed theatre with over 600 attendees.

The Composite Institute- IACMI’s CEO, Dr. Craig Blue, was featured in the highlights video and shared insights from his career journey.  “Trying a startup was one of the best experience of my career,” said Blue.  Many panelists echoed Blue’s perspective and advised students to define their own career path and consider a start up.
