Arlington Heights, IL, August 9, 2018…Composites One is pleased to announce that Spencer J. Cox, Lieutenant Governor of Utah, will make the keynote address at Fly Away with Composites, an advanced composites workshop focused on the aerospace and consumer recreation markets. Lt. Governor Cox is scheduled to address workshop attendees at 12:15 pm on Tuesday, August 21.
“We’re thrilled that Lt. Governor Cox will be speaking at our event,” said Marcy Offner, Director of Marketing Communications at Composites One. “Not only is he an avid supporter of workforce development, but he’s taken an interest in better understanding the composites industry, which is growing in Utah, thanks to developing markets like aerospace and consumer recreation.
To be held August 21-22 just outside Salt Lake City at Davis Technical College in Clearfield, UT, Fly Away with Composites is the latest in a series of educational events presented by Composites One and the Closed Mold Alliance in partnership with IACMI – The Composites Institute. In addition to Lt. Cox’s address will be engaging presentations and live demonstrations by industry experts on such topics as thermoplastics, prepreg – autoclave and out-of-autoclave, 3D printing, vacuum infusion, high temperature tooling, and thermoforming. There will also be a special track just for students considering the composites program at Davis Technical College.
