Brian Rice

High-Rate Aerostructures Fabrication Area Director & Working Group Leader
Distinguished Engineer, UDRI
IACMI Site Director, Dayton Composites Center

How does the Dayton Composites Center enable IACMI members to compete in the evolving U.S. manufacturing industry?

The United States must stay ahead of the curve in the fast-evolving field of advanced air mobility (AAM), including unmanned drones and electronic vertical takeoff and landing (e-VTOL) aircraft. Our global competitiveness depends on high-rate, low-cost aerostructures manufacturing.

How can IACMI members benefit from the center’s resources?

There is not another place in the world where they will find the breadth and depth of expertise, equipment and technology. For example, we are one of the only places to see a demonstration of the innovative RapidClave® system for material and method process development, low-cost/high-performance tooling development, and application development.
