Indianapolis Relocation Spurs Growth for MITO
Indianapolis, Indiana, August 18, 2022 – Specialty chemical company, MITO® Material Solutions, is pleased to announce the date of the official ribbon cutting for their new Indianapolis facility. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on August 24th at 3pm with refreshments to follow at the open house until 5pm.
It is fitting that MITO’s ribbon cutting event will happen during National Composites Week. MITO’s patented composites technology is the first and only to functionalize graphene to create hybrid additives with both chemical and physical bonding points. The hybrid materials give fiber-reinforced composites and thermoplastics remarkable strength, durability, flexibility, functionality and sustainability.
MITO’s leadership team, Haley Marie Keith and Kevin Keith, are members of 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 class. As a start-up and industry innovator, the MITO team was also recruited to the 2019 inaugural class of the The Heritage Group Accelerator powered by Techstars. Although Haley is a Hoosier native, the Techstars program was the duo’s introduction to Indianapolis’s technology and innovation-focused business environment. They immediately felt at home, and Indianapolis quickly became MITO’s headquarters.
MITO relocated the entire business, including both the lab and manufacturing facility, to Indianapolis in early 2022 to take advantage of the strategic geographic proximity to the Midwest’s manufacturing hubs. Since joining the Indianapolis business community, MITO has not only expanded their lab, manufacturing, and office footprint – but also their staff. Recent staff additions include Tom Schrepfermanas Vice-President of Sales and Zach Richardson, Chemical Production Engineer, The company plans to continue to add Indianapolis talent to their team.
