Mallinda is headquartered in Aurora, CO. and is developing reversible thermoset materials that improve cycle time for composite part production.
“Our chemistry allows us to make pre-cured thermoset prepreg laminates that can be laid up dry, and both consolidated into a monolithic part and
compression formed in under one minute,” explained Mallinda CEO and Co-Founder, Chris Kaffer. Mallinda’s enabling resin undergoes a covalent bond exchange reaction at temperatures above Tg to enable thermoforming and heat welding. Additionally, Mallinda’s thermoset resins can be chemically depolymerized in an energy neutral environment. Mallinda’s material is highly tunable (our Tg ranges from 20C – +200C) and the company is leveraging the resin’s versatility across several segments.
