Title: Forward Engineering: Accelerating the Development of HV Battery Enclosures
Abstract: One of the most exciting challenges the industry faces as we transition to electrified powertrains is the protection and integration of high voltage energy storage systems within vehicle structures. From passenger cars and people movers through advanced Urban Air Mobility applications Forward Engineering has been leading the development of cost effective, capable solutions, which leverage the unique properties of polymer composites. Visibility to system level performance at a material sample (e.g.: plaque) level is critical to efficient and rapid new product development. In this short presentation, we will share insights on the development and deployment of a Thermal Runaway Material Screening program for HV Battery Enclosure applications.
