Composites United CEO Dr. Gunnar Merz to present on Germany’s industrial strategies for lightweighting, clean energy future 

IACMI members and partners are in for a special presentation from international industry thought-leader Dr. Gunnar Merz during our Winter 2021 Virtual Members Meeting, happening February 16-18.

Dr. Merz serves as the CEO of Composites United, one of the world’s largest networks for fiber-based multi-material lightweight construction. Joby Aviation’s John Geriguis to share on exciting new Urban Air Mobility market possibilities 

IACMI will also welcome Joby Aviation’s Advanced Development Lead, John Geriguis to our Winter 2021 Virtual Members Meeting!

Geriguis has an extensive career in executing innovative advanced methods and materials to expand current engineering, processes, product development and management boundaries to provide an asymmetric advantage.

In his presentation, he will highlight how Urban Air Mobility (UAM) promises to relieve road congestion and provide affordable shared mobility in large metropolitan areas. He’ll also outline the potential for UAM and the “must have” innovations and changes needed for the market to further succeed.

Specific to Joby Aviation, Geriguis will share on the need to reduce material costs and touch labor compared to traditional aerospace construction.
